He stated that he has established a satisfactory plan with the Recreation Department which includes the following: Operable windows in Recreation Office and pre-school. Teacher/office for pre-school No 'doors to exterior from pre-school area Provide security devices at windows Coat & boot area at entrance door. Parenting room with one way glass to class room Watten stated that Ramsey Hospital is in the process of being remodeled and it is possible some of the stainless steel kitchen equipment could be used in the halt kitchen. Watten will investigate the possibility. City of Columbia Heights Special Park Board Meeting June 6, 1985 Page 2 Watten also pointed out that with the high ceiling in the hall there is a possibility of a 18' x 24' mezzanine with skylights and a decorative window on the west wall. The craft room in the Senior Center has been eliminated because of the high turn out in the Drop In Center. However, it was pointed out that several of the meeting rooms can be used for both seniors and teen age activities and are capable of being divided. Mayor Nawrocki questioned whether or not they anticipated any problems with the heating and air conditioning system and Watten stated that they did not believe there would be any problems. The parking lot plans were studied and the residents from Mill Street (that were in attendance) felt that the plans were acceptable. They stated that as long as the driveway was a one-way they would not have any traffic problems. The approximate date for completion of the hall has been set for August 1, 1986. Motion by Starcevic, seconded by Jernall to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried. Nancy French, Park Secretary
