MINUTES
DECEMBER 19, 1984
ROLL CALL
Members present:
William Hollom, JoAnn Jernall, John Murzyn, James Fowler

READING OF THE MINUTES
Motion by Jernall, seconded by Fowler that the reading of the minutes from
the November'21, 1984 and November 29, 1984 meeting be dispensed with and
accepted as written. All ayes, motion carried.
PAYMENT OF THE BILLS
Motion by Jernall, seconded by Starcevic that the bills be paid out of the
proper funds. Alt ayes, motion carried.
LIQUOR PERMITS
Motion by Murzyn, seconded by Fowler that the liquor permits be granted according
to the rules and regulations set forth by the'Park Board to: Anne & Ernest
Woodfill, 1821 4Otb Avenue, Col. Hgts., MN; Carol Karner, 26t6 Sherwood Road,
Minneapolis, MN; JoAnn Mager, 1~57 Andover Blvd., Anoka, MN; Richard Taylor,
12055 Central Ave., Mpls., MN; Larry Babin, 2303 Maiden Lane, Col. Hgts., MN.
All ayes, motion carried.
REQUEST HALL - OLD T1MER'S ANNUAL GET-TOGETHER
Motion by Murzyn, seconded by Jernall to reserve the JPM Hall for the Old
Timer's 3rd Annual Get-Together on Sunday, April 21, 1985 from 2:00 p.m. to
5:00 p.m. with the rental fee being waived and that if necessary to have a
security guard that the fee will remain intact. All ayes, motion carried.
REQUEST HALL - JAYCEE WOMEN
Motion by Starcevic, seconded by Petkoff to reserve the porch for the Columbia
Heights Jaycee Women for their meeting on Tuesday, January 15, 1985 with the
fee being waived. All ayes, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Hollom reminded the members of the Public Hearing on the remodeling/addition
of JPM Halt to be held on December 26th. Hollom stated that he hoped the
members could attend after the many hours of hard work they have put in.
NEW BUSINESS
None to present.

REPORTS
Salsbury informed the members that the skating rinks are in bad shape because
of the rain and warm weather and that a decision would be made tomorrow if
the rinks will open on schedule.
Starcevic asked if the low spot on the south side of Prestemon Park could be
filled in and the blacktop path could be widened. Salsbury stated that he
would look in to it.
Hollom took this time to present Mitch DeMars with a plaque of appreciation
for his services to the City of Columbia Heights Park Department and Park
Board.
