READING OF THE MINUTES
Motion by Jernalt, seconded by Petkoff that the reading of the minutes from the
October 17, 1984 meeting be dispensed with and accepted as wri'tten. All ayes,
motion carried.
PAYMENT OF THE BILLS
Motion by Jerna]l, seconded by Starcevic that the bills be paid out of the proper
funds. Alt ayes, motion carried.
LIQUOR PERMITS
Motion by Jernal], seconded by Fowler that the ]iquor permits be granted according
to the rules and regu]atTons set forth by the Park Board to: Katherine Toenjes,
3622 2nd Street, Mp]s., MN; Kar]a Hos]er~ ]724 W. County Road F~ St. Pau]~ MN;

REQUEST HALL - COLUMBIA HEIGHTS HOCKE.Y ASSOClATION/STEVEN JOHNSON
Motion by FoW]er' seconded by Starcevic to allow the Columbia Heights Hockey
Association the use of the ~a]] on Thursday, March 28, 1985 for a Traveling
Hockey Banquet. Al] ayes, motion carried.
REQUEST HALL - COLUMBIA HEIGHTS JAYCEES/JAMES KORDIAK
Motion by Jerna]], seconded by Starcevic to allow the Columbia Heights Jaycees
the use of the Ha]] for the Annual New Years Eve Party on Monday, December 3]st.
The fee for the Halt wi]] be waived, however, the fee for the security wi]]
remain intact. All'ayes, motion carried,
REQUEST HALL - CHUAN LU BOXING SOCIETY/PETER KWONG
Motion by Jernatt, seconded by Murzyn to grant the Chuan Lu Boxing Society the
use of the hall on Wednesday nights with the fee being waived. All ayes, motion
carried.
REQUEST HALL - COLUMBIA HEIGHTS HOOKEY BACKERS/DONAL9 HALbER
Motion by Hurzyn, seconded by Starcevic to al]ow the Columbia Heights Hockey
Backers the use of the hall on Friday., March t5, ]985, The fee wi]] be waived
for the hall, however, the security Fee w~]] re~a~:n intact All ayes, motion
carried,

REQUEST HALL - BROWNIE GIRL SCOUT TRooP 1826/DONNA KURTZ, LEADER
A letter requesting the use of the porch for every other Wednesday night
beginning on November 21. Motion by Fowler, sec°nded by Petkoff to grant this
group the use of the porch or the basement for their meetings. Ayes, Fowler,
Petkoff, Starcevic, Murzyn. Nay, Jernall. ~totion carried by majority,
NEW BUSINESS
Jernall reported that the Drop-In Center beino held in the basement of JPM has
been having a fairly good turn out, sometimes as many as 17 youngsters in the
6th, 7th, and 8th grade level. Hollom stated that at a future meeting the Board
would be very happy to have Dick Lawrence report on the Drop-In Center.
At a suggestion by Petkoff, Murzyn made a motion, seconded by Fowler to
have the next meeting a Christmas Dinner/meeting and to include the Park
Board members'and spouses, Mitch DeMars and wife, Public Works Director and
Secretary, All ayes, motion carried.
Motion by Murzyn, sec'onded by Petkoff to purchase a Christmas tree and more
decorations for the hall. All ayes, motion carried,
PARK MASTER PLAN
After some discussion the Park Board agreed that they would like Salsbury to
pursue the possibility of getting a Park Planner from the University and if
that is not possible they would like to have it put in the budget for 1986.
HOCKEY RINK HOURS
At the request of the Recreation Department a motion by J~rnall, seconded by
Murzyn to amend the rink hours to 9:00 p.m. at Gauvitte and Keyes on Monday
thru Friday.
JOHN P. MURZYN REMODELING~_
The Park BOard reviewed the comments from the questionaire that was sent-to the
organizations that reserve the hall. It was decided that additional information
be given to Mr. ~latt. en as to the 'groups that have used the hall for the previous
2 years. It was felt that additional facts be obtained in order to justify an
expansion of the hall. A special Park Board meeting is planned for Thursday,
November 29th and 6:30 p.m. Salsbury stated that he would get additional
information from the Recreation Department regarding classes to be held. at the
hall. It was also requested that the Recreation Department attend the next
meetlng.
REPORTS
DeMars reported on the playground equipment that has been installed in the parks.
Hollom thanked Mitch DeMars for his time and effort and wished him the best in
retirement.

Mr. Glen Getty was not in attendance so the item on the agenda was tabled~
