ROLL CALL Members Present: Thomas Rejzer, Walter Logacz, Bill Hol!om, Mike Farre!l, and Gordon Schelde~ Members Absent: JoAnn Melin, John Murzyn and John Rak READING OF THE MINUTES Motion by Farrell, seconded by Logacz that the minutes of November 15, 1978 be accepted as presented in writing and that the reading be dispensed with. Ail ayes, motion carried. PAYMENT OF THE BILLS Motion by Schelde, seconded by Farrell to pay all bills as presented in writing from their prope~ funds. Ail ayes, motion carried. CRITERIA FOR FEE WAIVING Rejzer sent a final copy of recommended criteria to each Board member. He explained the different co~mmunities reasons for waiving fees, charges of field rental, charges of liquor licenses, damages deposits etc. Logacz recommends that the Board charge the team using the field the same price as it takes to maintain the Park. Motion by Schelde, seconded by Parrell that the Board table the discussion until the next meeting. All ayes, motion carried. SKATING RINKS AND WARMING HOUSE ATTENDANTS Rejzer reported a meeting was held with all warming house attendants Wednesday afternoon. He reported that all rinks will be opened on December 21, 1978. Discussion followed conaerning ice maintenance, time schedules, and recreation programs. COLUMBIA HEIGHTS JAYCEES Motion by Farretl, seconded by schelde that the Park Baord grant the use of the Field Ho~se to the Columbia Heights Jaycees for their annual New Years Eve Party on December 31, i[978. Ail ayes, mOtion carried. LIQUOR PERMITS Motion by Schelde, seconded by Logacz to grant Liquor Permits to the 'following: David Tkach 10510 Partridge Circle, Jim Kordiak Col. Hgts~, Jaycees 530 Mill St., Dawn Hibben 7709 Glasgow Drive, and to provide the Park Board with the proper Liability Insurance. Ail ayes, motion carried. SHAP3 SHOP BROOMBALL TEAM Motion by Schelde, seconded by Farre!l to grant ice time to the Sharp Shop broomball team at Gauvitte and Huset Parks for a tournament on January 6 & 7, 1979 pending Recreation Dept. program schedules. Ail ayes, motion carried. COLUMBIA HEIGHTS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION Motion by Schelde, seconded by Farre!t to grant the use of the. Field House to the Columbia Heights Hockey Association for their annual hockey social on January 19, 1979. Ail ayes, motion carried. MONIES FROM THE ]lIGHTED TENNIS COURTS Rejzer reported on the money being collected from the lighted tennis courts through- out the tennis season. The total collected this season was lower than the previous year partially due to the extended amount of free light time provided to the Recreation COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PARK BOARD MINUTES CONT. Department for their programs. Next year added income is expected becuase the new Huset lighted tennis court and the new Prestemon lighted basketball court will be in use for the first time.
