ROLL CALL

READING OF THE MINUTES
Motion by Farre!l, seconded by Me!in~ that the minutes of October 18, 1978
be accepted as presented in ~riting and that the reading be dispensed ~th.
Ail ayes, motion carried.
PAYI~ENT OF THE BILLS
Motion by Melin, seconded by Farrel!, to pay all the bills as presented in
~£iting from their proper funds° A!l~ayes~ motion carried.
FEE WAIVING CRITERIA
Rejzer presented the Board with a list of recommended criteria~ the Board
requested at last months meeting. Mmch discussion was held on thiS~topic.
Sche!de recomueided that a fiftydol!ar check be held from the organization
using the Parks facilities for a clean-up deposit. He also recommended
Rejzer compile a final list of criteria and send a copy to each Board member.
The Board is requested to make note of corrections and send their lists back
to the Park Department. At the next meeting a final copy will be compiled
and sent to the City Council.
SKATING RINKS fND WARMING HOUSE ATTENDANTS
Rejzer presented the Board with a schedule of warming house hours and a list
of rules and regulations each attendant is to sign before they are employed.
Melin recomme~ded that signs enclosed in plastic be posted on the outside of
each warming house to show the public the hours they will be open. Rejzer
explained that the scheduled hours are posted on large cardboard sheets in
the buildings and are printed ihothe City Newstetter and will be in the
S~m Newspaper. Schelde reconmended that the attendants wear their coats,
given to them bY the Park Board~ at all times and for them to check on the
rim~s by walkinE around the outside. Motion by Farre!!~ seconded byMe!in,
that the hours scheduled for the ~warming houses are acceptable as presented
on the schedule. All ayes~ motion carried.
PRESTEMON PARK BUILDING
Rejzer reported the following improvements at Prestemon Park since the last
meeting. Leverette Weekes started constrmction per contract on the Pres-
temon Building. The light standards for the basketball court have been
insta!!edby Heights Electric. The trees that died before the one year
guarantee was up were replaced per contract by Natuma! Green~ Inc.
LIQUOR PEi~MITS
Motion byMelin, seconded byFarrel!~ to grant Liquor Permits to the following:
Earl Case, 2250 Midland Grove Rd. #210,and to provide~the Park Beard with the
proper Liability Insurance. All ayes, motion carried.
COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PARK BOARD

PACK 52 CUB SCOUTS
Motion by Farrell~ seconded by Melin, to grant the use of the Field House to
Cub Scout Pack #52 on November 28, 1978 for a Pack meeting. All ayes, motion
carried.
CITY OF COLU~BIA HEIGHTS CHRISTMAS PARTY
Motion by Melin, seconded by Farrell, to grant the use of the Field House to
the City of Columbia Heights employees for their Christmas Party on December
22, 1978. All ayes, motion carried.
VANDALISM AT GAUVITTE PARK
Rejzer reported the costs of repairs at Gauvitte Park for this past year. He
explained that different security and precautions areZbeing taken to reduce
vandalism at the Park.
CREATIVITY WORESHOP~ BL00MINGTON~ MN
Rejzer presented the Board with an outline of the different topics covered at
the workshop. The Board was appreciative on receiving the information.
