MINUTES
JUNE 16, 1976
Meeting called to order by John Rak.
Members presen~: John Rak, William Hollom, JoAnnMelin, Sebe Heintz,
Gordon Schelde, John NmLrzyn.

· RE~DING OF MAY .1.9, 1976 MINUT~
Motion by Heintz, seconded byHcllom~to approve the minutes of May 19, 1976 as
presented in writing and that the.~ading of these minutes by dispensed with. All
ayes motion carried.~ ~
PAYMENT OF BILLS
Motion byHollom, seconded by Schelde that all bills, as presented in writing are to
be paid out of their proper funds. All ayes motion carried.
LE~ERS AND REQUESTS
Motion by Heintz, seconded by Schelde that the Park Board grant the use of the Field
House on July 16, t976 to the Jaycees and that the fee be waived. All ayes motion
~carried.
Motion by Hollom, seconded by Schelde that the Park Board write a letter to the City
Council recommending the granting of a permit to "Concerned About Womens Softball" for
July 17 and 18, l$76,~Dr~viding the insurance requirements are met° All ayes motion
carried.
Motion by Melin, seconded byHein~zL~that the Park Board waive the fee for the use of
Field 3 on July 17 and 18, 1976 and that "Concerned About Womens Softball" must then
pay for the man necessary for supervision ~d preparation of the field All ayes motion
carried. °
Motion by Melin, seconded by Schelde that the Park Board deny the request made by Karen
Link to reserve tennis courts at Huset Park for an informal tennis tournament as it is
against the Park Boards policy. All ayes motion carried.

Gordon Schelde and William Hollom were appointedand agreed to act as a two man committee t~
recommend new policies and procedures.
VANDALISM AT GA1MTTE
It was reported that the Chief of' Police has sent out surveys to establish exactly what the
problems are and what steps should be taken.
LABELLE PARK
Plans and specifications for LaBelle Park structure have been delayed.
GAUVITTE HOCKEY RINK
Asphalting of Gauvitte Hockey Rink will be under contract°
GAUVITTE PARKING LOT
Motion by Schelde, seconded by Hollom that the Park Board recommend to the City Council
that Gauvitte be blacktopped according to Plan Four of the January 1975 minutes. ~j~~
HOCKEY BOARDS
Motion by Heintz, s.conded by Melin to begin construction of the Hockey Boards at
Gauvitte Park. Ail ayes motion carried.
BUDGET
The budget £or 1977 has been started.

A special meeting on this subject will be
ROOFING ON FIELD HOUSE.
Motion by Schelde, seconded by Melin that the Park Board refund to Mr. and Mrs. John
R. Lundquist the amount of $250.00 along with a letter of regret. All ayes motion carried.
DUTCH ELM DISEASE
It was reported that over sixty trees have already been taken.-
KEYES BUILDING
It was reported that there was a delay in receiving iron rods, consequently digging has
just begun.
It was recommended that the Park Board write a letter to the Jaycees to thank them
for the $300.00 received from them for the bandstand.
