CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order by Protein Oh~irm~zu William Hollom.
ROLL CALL
Members Present.:. JoAnn Melin, Gordon Schelde, William Hollom, Michael Farrell,
~ebe Heingtz, and Superintendent of Parks, John P. }~rzyn.
Members Absent:~ John Rak
2~tion by Jo~m~ Melin, seconded by Michael Farrell to approve the reading of
2&inutes of December 17, 1975 Meeting with the exception of correcting the d~tes
of the Columbia Heights Jaycees Softball Tournament from February 17 and 18 to
February 21 snd~22~ 1976 and that the reading of these be dispensed with. ~ll
ayes, motion carried.
PAYMENT OF BILLS
Motion by Fs~re.l~,' 'seconded by Heintz to pay all b~_!s presented out of their
proper ~uuds. 1 ~ ayes, motion carried.
SOIL BOREGS FOR KEYES PARK BUILDING
After a discussion about the soil borings, a motion was ~de by ~chael Fan, ell,
seconded by Jo~m Melin tD~t the Park Board authorize John 2,~zyn to proceed with
contacting a coflsultsmt for plans and preparations of Keyes Park site. All ayes,
motion carried.'

bidder for~ a tractor in the amount of $7,833.
ASSISTANT TO SUPERINT~2~D~2~T OF PARKS
The Assistant to the Park Superintendent w~s tabled by the ~yor s~d City Counc~
~t the January 12th Council Meeting. The members of the Park B~-d felt that
luther discussi~on is necessary for the need of an assistant.
LIGHTS FOR HIGH~ SCHOOL T~IS COURT
The City Council has verbally agreed upon s~pproving lights for High School tennis
courts, but no ~uthorization to preceed with the purchase of lights has been re-
ceived. ~Luforma! quotes on this purchase should be taken.
LETTERS ANO REQUESTS
2~otion by JoAnn Melin, seconded by ~chael Farrell that the Viking Council be
granted use of .the Field House on Saturday, M~rch 13, 1976 for their annual
District Cub Scout Pinewood and Space Derby Races. ~1~ ayes, motion carried.
A letter from ~. Jeff Hince complaining about pot holes and uneven flooding on
skating rinks w~s re~d and Park Superintendent w~s instructed to answer this letter.

the fields for the ;~dy's Bowling Team as long as no additional l~bor is req ~uired.

~tion made by Gordon Schelde, seconded by Michael Farrell that the use of the
Field House be granted to Pack #52 on February 26th for their blue and gold
banquet, All ayes, motion carried.
Motion by Farrell, seconded by 2~ielin that the use of the Field House b~ granted
to the Auok~ County Extension Service on 2~rch 8, 15 and 22, 1976. A~ ayes,
motion carried.
Motion by Farrell, seconded by Melin to authorize the use of the softb~l ! fields to
the Columbia Heights Women's Fast Pitch Softbsll team at $50 deposit for cle~n up
for the weekend of June 12 and 13, 1976. All ayes, motion carried.
