Report from Liquor Committee tabled until the end of the .meeting.
P ~OWER SWEEPER ~
John ¥~zrzyn reported that the City Council delayed action on a~mrding the bid on the
power sweeper, due to some technicallity as far as the specifications were concerned.
LETTERS a~nd REQUESTS .
A thank you letter was read from Recreation Director Linda i. Hansen for a job well done
by Park Empl$yees even under adverse weather conditions during this years hockey season.
The letter was placed on file.
A thank you letter was received and read from' Mrs. Arthur J. Mundy in regards to the use
of Mathaire Building for pre-school classes and the-prompt and courteous cooperation prom
vided by Park Board Employees. The letter was placed on file.
Sebe Heintz made a motion, seconded by Michael Farrell to grant the League of Women Voters,
free use of the Field House on May 29, 1975 for a Bridge Marathon Luncheon from 11 a.m. to
~. p.m. All ayes, motion carried.
A letter from ~. David Heryla, Manager of Dick's Place Softball Team requesting use of
the softball fields on August 9 and 10, 1975 for a tournament was read. ~tion by Farrell,
seconded by Hollom requesting John M~rzyn to report back at next meeting~ on cost of main-
tenance for this tournament. All ayes, motion carried.
A motion that Mr. Earl Ellison be granted two weeks salary in lieu of vacation came from
F~rrell, seconded by Heintz. ~ ayes.~ motion carried.
~Sebe Heintz reported on Mr. John Moeta~s request to acquire seventy five feet of frontpage'
which is park property, in lieu of thirty feet of his property for storm sewer rightxe~y.
The City Council denied his request.
Motion was made ~ ~iichael' Farrell, seconded by JoAnn Melin that we recommend to City
Countil to install lights on H~set Park tennis courts and-John Murzyn to meet with Super-
intendent of Schools to discuss the lighting of School Board's courts. All ayes, motion
carried.
~BANDSTAND and GUILD RAIL POSTS
John I~zrzyn reported, that a~rds for bandstand arches were awarded to Structura~ Wood Co.
of St. Paul Minnesota in the amount of $2,131, and that the low bid for guard rail posts
for $947.20 were ~warded to G. M, Stewart Company.

Motion made by' Wi~hliam Hollom, seconded by Gordon Sche!de to hire Germundsen Contracting
for weed cutting for 1975. ~ ayes, motion carried.

John Marzyn reported that Nedegaard started to dig for footings today. The water and ~wer
lines were started last week.
Motion to grant 4 H Club members the use of the Field House free of charge on April 23,
20 and Nay 7, 1975 came from Heintz, seconded by Farrell, ~11 ayes, motion carried.
REPORT, from LIQUOR COMMITTEE
Rules and regulations Were discussed and reviewed by the Board, which were presented
by the Liquor Committee for liquor consumption in the Field House.
A ~otion was made by ~oAnn Melin, seconded by W~,~ lam Hollom that the Park Board $ccepts
the reconmmandation of the Liquor Committee and that we recommend to the Mayor and City
Council to adopt the rules and regulations. ~11 ayes, motion carried.

B. No permit shall be granted to any applicant hereunder unless:

refunded.
D. The Permittee mus~.be on the actual premises at all times liquor is being dis-
played or consume
E. When the Park Board receiveA two applications ~f?r the same date, it shall have
the sole discretion to choose between such app-mcants.
II. Fee_._~s
A. The Park Board shall establish a rate schedule for the rental of the premises
or portions thereof.
~. Fees may vary.depending on whether or not intoxicating liquor or non-intoxi-
cating ~lt liquors are served on the premises. .......
2. The fee or a portion thereof m~,~ be wai~ved, in the sole discretion of the
Park Board, f~r civic organizatmons an~ groups.
B. The Park Bosrd shall~ provide a uniformed peace off,i.cer~ or detective to be stationed
on~ the premises at all times when liquor is permi~ea to be displayed or consumed.

set by the permit, provided that:
