Members Present: John ..Ra.k, .Michael Farrell, JoAnn ~lin, Gordon Schelde, William Hollom, Sebe nezu~z, and John Nnrzyn, Park Sup&rintendent. Robert Owens from E~gineer~_~ was also present. Readi~ of the $~nutes Motion was made by William Hollom, seconded by JoAun ~lin to approve the minutes o£ February 19, 1975 as presented in Biting and that the reading be dispensed with. All ayes, motion carried. Pa~vment~ of Motion by Gordon Schelde to pay all bills from their proper ikmds, seconded by Sebe Heintz. All ayes, motion carried. Bids on Gauvitte ~di .~g and Hockey ..L. ight~g After a lengthy discussion on the bids for the building and hockey lighting with Mr. Robert Owens, a motion was made by William Hollom and seconded by Gordon Schelde to recommend to the Mayor and City Councilmen the low bid of Bruce Nedegaard for the ~_~!ding in the amount of $~4,950, and to Total Electric for the Hockey Lighting for the total of $6,417. All ayes, motion carried. Lieuor .Committee Michael Farrell said that the City Attorney will set up a meeting to discuss rules and regulations. Also reported about the Old Time Dance and Roast. Lette~ and Re~ue. sts~ Mr. Helgeson, Progrsm Director from 2~innesota Easter Seal Society requesting the use of Huset P~rk and the Field House from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. on May 17, 1975 for con- ducting a bike'a-thon. A motion made by Michael Farrell, ~econded by William Hollom to grant their request. All ayes, motion carried. Motion by Sebe ~Heintz, seconded by Michael Farretl to grant use of the Field House for a Bunny Brunch on March 22, 1975 to the Columbia Heights JayCees Wives. All ayes, motion carried. Motion by Sebe Heintz to grant the use of the dance hall for a Christmas Party on December 7, 1975 to the Columbia Heights Firemen~$ Auxilary, seconded by Michael Farrell. At ~ ayes, motion carried. Motion by Gordon Schelde, seconded by Sebe Heintz that the Park Board is very much instrested and will supply loc~tion for trees donated from the Columbi~ Heights- Fridley Kiwanis Club. All ayes, motion carried. Motion by Sebe Heintz, seconded by Michael Farrell to grant Pack 169 the use of the Field House on April 16th and 17th to hold a pinewood derby. All ayes, motion carried. Motion by Gordon Schelde, seconded by JoAun ~lin that the Park Board provide a telephone and satellite at Southwest Park duri~ the sttmmer program. ~ ayes, motion carried. John 2~zyn to discuss ~.~th Assist~ut Director, Dave ~cGregor the use of the green house and west rock garden fox' a recrreation garden program. Discussion about flowers for the bicentinial year. A design will be drax~m up for the City Hall garden.
