All ayes, motion carried. Payment of BilLs A~l bills were authorized for payment out of proper funds by a motion from Sebe Heintz, seconded by William Hollom. Rehbein for Gauvitte Park. All ayes, motion carried. Board members agreed that a new hockey rink with lights and asphalting be proposed for Gauvitte in 1975 Budget. It was discussed by the Park Board members that a clause in the up- coming specifications for Mathaire Building be included. 8. Gordon Schelde requested that landscaping around the building be included in the bids. Motion by Gordon Schetd% seconded by Michael Farrell to use the same plan and spcifications for ~thaire B~dlding as used for Ostrander Park with alterations like (hardwar% non- breakable glass windows, etc.) and also, with a clause for completion date. All ayes, motion carried. _~H~-ing of an Administrative Assistant Sebe Heintz suggested that Dean Otterson would get together with Park Superintendent John Murzyn snd %2ite up support material and present it to the City Council after Board action. - Motion by William Hollom, seconded by Sebe Heintz, to table the discussion of an assistant till the next meeting~ A thank you letter from Columbia Heights Jay Cees ~ives ~ms read and placed on file. A letter ~om Dean Otterson on Federal Grant for Future Park Development was read and placed on file. John ~Lrz~m reported that he purchased an ice shaver for $300.00, after receiving approval from City Manager, N~lcolmWatson. John Murzsm ~as instructed to put pressure on Columbia Metal Fabrication Company to complete the construction of a cab for our tractor. ~eeping of Ri:~s It %ms recommended that we sweep~the hockey rinks before and after games are played. Mr. N~chael Farrell, on behalf of the Jay Cees requested the use of the Speed Skat- ing Rink Track.. He was informed that he should clear with the Recreation Director, Linda Hansen, and Park Superintendent John Murzyn. New Park Ordi~mce A new proposed park ordinance was presented bySS~be Heintz. JohnMurzynto send copies to each member for their review and make comments. Park Superintendent, John Murzynwas requested by Park Board members to write a letter to ¥~. M~rvin Super as to whether or not he wants to serve on the Board, because of his absences. ~ni Park John~ktrz~n reported that plywood is to be installed in the house trailer. The trailer is set on blocks and we are ~tting for School Board electrician to provide us ~ith the power for the trailer house. S~irt Park Superintendent, John ~urzyn replied ~he affirmative answer to ~ of Gordon Schelde's questions if the Squirt Rinks and hockey goals were in operation at McKenna, Huse% Mathaire and Gauvltte Parks. JohnMurzyn suggested that chain link fence should be used on fae present hockey goals. Motion by William Hollom, seconded by Michael Farrell that we adjourn the meeting. All ayes, motion carried.
