May 22, 1973
Meeting called to order by Chairman John Rak
Members Present: Marvin Super, Oliver Jarvenpa, William Hollom, John
Rak, Gordon Schelde and John Murzyn
Members Absent: Sebe Heintz
Brauer and Associates representatives were present to review the proposed
plans of LaBelle Park, with a few alterations from the previous designs.
The plans in the active area were changed to a natural area for softball,
along with surface play areas, tennis courts and a parking lot. The
concensus of the LaBel]e Park residents was to go along with the plans
as was presented. A Iady resident objected to the parking lot which was
close to her home, saying that 20 cars would be too bid of a parking
lot. She was told that a berm would be installed and also that trees
and shrubs would ubstruct her view. Brauer and Associates representatives
told the audience that t5 to 20 light standards are planned for this park.
This concluded the presentation of the proposed plans and the Park Board
members were called to order by Chairman John Rak to act on the preliminary
plans.
Motion by William Hollom, seconded by Marvin Super that the "Preliminary
Master PlanTM as presented tonight will be accepted. All ayes.
Motion by William Hollom, seconded by Oliver Harvenpa to adjourn the
meeting. Ail ayes.
