Members present: Members absent: Jsrvenps, Hol!om, Welch, Super & Murzyn John Rsk Motion by Welch seconded by Ho!lom that the minutes be approved ss presented in writing. Ail ayes. Mr. John Morrow was the spokesman for s citizens group concerning problems at our new playground st Memorial Park in the early hours of the morning. Motion by Hotlom seconded by Super that the following installations be done a~ Memorial Park; Install s night light, sign, bolt a rubber matting on run way of Astro City equipment and install s snow fence a- long the curb line. Ail ayes. Letter of commendation from Jay Wel!berg, Office of Economic Oppor- tunity was read & filed. Motion by Hollom seconded by Welch to refund $2~o00 to Mrs. Leon Peterson for the payment she ~s~e for s reservation of August 16, 1970. Ail ayes. Motion by Welch seconded by Super that the gate st the entr.ance of Silver Lake Beach be re-installed. Letter from Harley Stover was resd which commended the Park Board employee~ in preparing the Field House for the Ford P!snt public hearing. . . Motion by Super seconded by Welch that request of Mr. Dewey Breisch be granted the use of the Field House on November 5, 1970, for A.F.S. fund raising event. Ail ayes. Letter from Mr. Malcolm Watson, City Manager wss read in reference to the liquor ordinance #408 that intoxicating liquor shall not be sold or possession there of delivered within the City except on premises of the Municipal Liquor Store. Motion by Super seconded by Holtom that we go on record~ to fi~the ponding area at Prestemon Park after connecting all storm sewer~nes. Ail ayes. Motion by Welch seconded by Super that we allow the use of the Field House for meetings to bonafide local civic organizations at no charge. Ail ayes. Motion by Holtom seconded by Welch that any bonsfide local civic organization using the Field House for fund raising activities shstl be on s precentsge rentst basis. Ail ayes. Motion by Super seconded by Hotlom that:all pther persons or.or~sn- ~.zations be charged according to our scheduled raves estso±zs.~e~ augusv 1, 1970. Ail ayes.
