PARK BOARD MEETING
Meeting called to order by chairman John Rak
Members present:
John Rak, Marvin Super, Donald Welch~
and John Murzyn
Members absent: Donald Lewis & Frank Novotny
Motion by Super seconded by Welch that the minutes be
accepted as presented in writing. All ayes.
Murzyn reported that the new revised permit for dredging of
Silver Lake was received on October 17, 1966, and that the
contractor, D & M Dredging Co., may proceed with the dredgings.
Contract bid was for
Murzyn also reported that our 1967 park budget was slashed
again for a total of $~3,000.00. The budget will be around the
$170,000.00 mark.
Motion by ~uper seconded by Welch that Mrs. Barrot request
for a refund be denied unless the facilities be rented again
on Nov. 19, 1966, All ayes.
Motion by Welch seconded by Super that the Board go on an
inspection tour of our park syste~ on Saturday~ October 22nd.
The sump hole at Gauvitte Park, which was used for drain-
age, has been filled up with 100 tons of l~" coarse rock, 67
tons of ~" coarse buck shot and 7~ tons of coarse wash sand.
The drain well has been working real go6d and hope that it
continues to take storm waters or we will have a real problem.
Motion by Welch seconded by Super that the meeting be
adjourn. All ayes.
