Absent: Behun. Minutes' read ancL approved as read. let order of. business was meeting with the Hilltop group- discussion was in regards to the proposed warming house and club house. Fred ROhrbacher requested informer, ion from the Park Board as to What can be done to improve skating and other facil- ities in the Park System. Columbia School Mothers Club request for a date at the Field-House for a luncheon was set for May ~, 1955. Bide were opened for settees for bowling a. lleys. let Bid - Brumswick-Blake Collender Co. $858.91 - a Bond for $100.00 was attached. Bnd Bid- Schaaf Mfg. Co. Fiber Glass Settee $1,490.88. Solid.Maple grove settee $9~B.00, check for $49.00 was attached. Bid - J. F. Ptacek & Son Inc. Solid MAPLE Settee for $885.00 check for $88.50 enclosed. Motion by Yencho sec. by Lubansky- To have Murzyn, Park Supt. check further between the two lowest bids and report back to the Park Board ms to what the &i~$erence will be and which of the two will be the most serviceable. Aye Carried. Motion by Lubansky sec. by M~s Carlisle - The communication of Feburary Zl, 1955 from the Bowlerana be placed on file, reason the. cost is prohibitive. Aye Carried. Motion by Mrs. Carlisle sec. by Yencho - The communication from the New Ulm City Manager in regard to operation of a swimming pool. Letter to be place on. file end the Park Board Supt. to wrlte.a Thank you letter. Aye Carried. Motion by Yencho sec. by Mrs Carlisle the communication from the Wesley Btntz in regard to cost and construction ~$ & circular swimming pool. Approximate cost Between $71,000 and $80,000. Letter be place on file. Ays Carried. Motion by Lubansky sec. by Yencho the bills to be paid from the proper funds. Aye Carried. Being no further business meeting was adjourned at 10:30 PM.
