1939 at the Recreation Center. Roll call was taken and all
were present.
The chairman read laws nertaining to establishing
Park Boards, (Macon' S Minn. Statutes of the Year 1927).
A bill legislating five members has been oassed by the
l~gislature. The chairman read the -ro~osed ordinance
pertaining to the Park Board. Peterson suggested that the
Board decide among themselves who shall serve for such and
such length of time, from one to five years. Lots were
drawn and the results were as follo~i~s:

Peterson 4 years
Nelson ,5 Years.
It was suggested that work on the curb and gutter be
started as soon as possible, and t~:at Mill Street have
preference over and other job that is started.

It was decided to get along with less help after Aoril 15th.
Instructions ~ere given to the uoerzntendent that he should

see to it that the olace be kept clean first of all.

~ letter of the Northern States Power Co. was read regard-
ing the lights on ~,fill Street. It was moved by PetersoK that the
recommendation be accepted. Question regarding remaining of street
was discussed and it was agreed to table the matter u~til some
future date.
It was moved by Olsson and seconded by Peterso~.~ that a
regular meeting date for the board be set as the first Tuesda~' of
each month. The motion was. carried.
The chairman wanted covering for the floor to be 'sought
from the Bemis Bag Co. The cost would be $60.00 for four
lB½' by 70' strips.
The meeting was adjourned at ll:20 P.M.
