HomeMy WebLinkAboutFebruary 26, 1939 The Park Boark meeting was called to order Februar~- !9S9 at the Field House. Roll call was taken and all members were present. The managers re~ort was submitted. It read as follows: Requested that ao'iication for regulation alley certificate be submitted. Requested for a Cigarette license and a Food license. It was moved by Olsson and seconded b) Peterson that the Superintendent be instructed to secure the necessary licenses. Motion carried. It was moved by Nelson and seconded by Spekulant that the alleys be entered~t-~ Boogy Tournament held by the United Sportsman's Association of Minnesota. A Renreseutative of the Columbia Heights Baseball League asked for the uss of the hall, free of charge~. However, it was decided teat the regular ~rice be charged The Dramarice Club of the Gresham School submitted an a~lication to put on t~eir show at the ~ield House on March ~rd. Application accepted. Spekulant asked if a Oit~ wide ,%~. P. A. ~r~ject should h~ designated. The Park Board agreed to meet with Mr. Damebell on Thursday evening at 7:S0 P.M. at the Field House. -Continued- It was moved by Peterson and seconded b~ 01sson that it be the Boards unanimous d~ci~i~n that the rooms now assigned as ladies toilet and lounge on the first floor be used as a meeting room instead. There are at present only the room in the basement that can be used as a meeting room, which is very noisy, because of the bowling alleys. The room, if assigned as a meeting room, would be used as a smoking room, as smoking is~rohibited in the auditorium. Notion carried. it is to be recommended to the City Council that no relief office be set up in the Field House. Other rooms will have to be set u,~ for relief clients.
