A. Training for the new automation system continued through the first two weeks of the month.
B. Aleksandr and Paul from the City's IS Department were invaluable during the set up stage of
the SIRSI system. The staff workstations on the City LAN have all been loaded with
Workflows. Aleksandr and Al also worked to find answers to a few existing questions about
the City LAN/County WAN interface. Kudos to them all.
C. Al and Chyesao set up all the local hardware for the SIRSI system 5/5.
D. I have had the unique opportunity to serve on the Evaluation Team and the Oversight
Committee, and I got to experience nearly every facet of the project from start to finish. I
believe that SIRSI is an excellent choice for Anoka County and that the system will provide
improved service to all the patrons. I would like to recognize Mary Caven, Heather Hessell,
and Judy Soule, who served on the above committees with me, and to give a resounding
"KUDOS" to everyone who worked to make the project become a reality. I would also like
to express my appreciation to all the people who worked so hard to make the ILS project
come together as a whole. Their efforts and hard work made it possible for us to "Go-Live"
on 5/17.
