HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2005-27 RESOLUTION No. 2005-27 BEING A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MnDOT) AND SOO LINE RAILROAD COlVlP ANY FOR SIGNAL UPGRADES ON 37TH AVENUE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Columbia Heights enter into an agreement with the Soo Line Railroad Company (DIB/ A) Canadian Pacific Railway Company) and the Commissioner of Transportation for the safety improvements of cantilevers and circuitry to the existing gates at the intersection of3? Avenue N.E. (MSAS 0272) with the tracks of the Soo Line Railroad Company on the Minneapolis/Columbia Heights municipal border, Hennepin County, Minnesota, and appointing the Commissioner of Transportation agent for the County to sl,lpervise said project and adminiser available Federal Funds in accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section 161.36. The City's share of the cost shall be 5 percent of the total signal cost. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Manager be and they are hereby authorized to execue said agreement and any amendments thereto for and on behalf of the City.
