Operational Report, March 2005
March 31,2005
I. PROGRAMS:
A. Friends of the Library: The Friends of the Library met on Monday, March ih at 1 :00
p.m. in the Library boardroom. The Friends decided to sort books for the book sale on
Tuesday, June ih beginning at 9:00 a.m., conduct the presale on Wednesday, June 8th
from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and have the book sale on Thursday, June 9th from 9:00 a.m.
- 8:00 p.m. Usually the sorting day and presale are held on the same day, but this has
proved too tiring for the Friends so they are changing it to two separate days. Presale
tickets are $5.00 and will be available at the door on the day of the sale beginning at 5:30
p.m. The Friend's will meet next Monday, April 4 at 11 :00 a.m. at the Dragon House

prizes for the Adult Reading Program with money donated from the Friends of the
Library.

satisfactorily and responds to the messages I leave in the logbook. She will continue to
be our cleaner until a permanent employee is hired.
E. Volunteers: During March, a teen from Immaculate Conception has been volunteering to
complete a requirement for his confirmation class. As of3/30/05, he has completed
approximately 10 % hours of the 20 he needs. Another volunteer donated 1 hour shelf
reading for a total of 11 % hours this month.

displayed on March 29th. Bookmarks with the same theme are available to the public.
