HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2000-44CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2000-44 RESOLUTION FINDING THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 9 CONSISTENT WITH THE PLANS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS. WHEREAS, the Columbia Heights Economic Development Authority has authorized preparation of a Tax Increment Financing Plan (TIF Plan) for Tax Increment Financing District No. 9 (Transition Block Redevelopment Project ~'or Crest View/Real Estate Equities District) within the Central Business District Redevelopment Project, and the TIF Plan has been submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission for comment; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed the TIF Plan and has compared it with the plans for development of the City as a whole. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota as follows: The TIF Plan for Tax Increment Financing District No. 9 is found to be consistent with the plan for development of the City of Columbia Heights as a whole. It is recommended that the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights hold the public heating required by law and adopt the TIF Plan.
