SUBJECT: Operational Report, July 2004
DATE: July 29, 2004
I. PROGRAMS:
A. Friends of the Library: During the summer, the Friends will not be meeting. Marie
Marquart, coordinator of the Friend’s Campbell’s Labels for Education Program passed
away on July 23. Over the years she has trimmed and bundled thousands and thousands
of labels that were redeemed for items useful to the Library. I attended her wake and
funeral. She will be missed by the Friends and Library staff.
B. At-Home Service: One of the homebound patrons is moving out of the area so service to
her will be discontinued this month. One delivery was made to another homebound
patron.
C. Bulk Loans: I selected and processed bulk loans for Parkview Villa and Royce Place and
delivered them on Wednesday, July 7.
II. COLLECTION:
A. Several updated out-state telephone directories were received and put in the reference
section.
B. I am still waiting for the audiocassettes on English as a Second Language to arrive.
C. Additional travel brochures have been received and added to the vertical file.
III. PROJECTS & GOALS:
A. Annual report flyer: The annual report flyer is ready for distribution and printed in color
and black and white.

There are no major issues with the cleaners at this time. Andrew continues to do a decent
job cleaning. If there is a problem, I note it in his sign-in book, and he takes care of it
when he cleans in the evening.

patron.
D. Budget sheet: I updated the monthly budget sheet of supply expenditures through July
26, 2004.

panel in the lobby of the library.

included in the August library newsletter.
