B. Summer Storytime and Craft registrations are back to the all time high. Around 40
children attend this storytime session along with an average of 20 adults. The craft
aspect of this storytime is a major attraction. We also benefited by moving from
Thursday to Wednesday to avoid ECFE conflicts and Parks and Recreation conflicts.
C. Preparations are underway for American Girl (Samantha). We currently have 23 girls
(ages 8 to 12) registered for this program. The vast majority are girls who have attended
the program in past years and phoned to ensure they made the registration list. Posters
and flyers have not been posted as of yet.
IV. STAFF
A. Library Aide Cristy Tombarge was called for jury duty in June so the department was
short staffed. Cristy established a new book display ( Butterflies) and has been busy with
circulation desk duties. Cristy’s duties this month also included preparing crafts for
storytime, printing the library newsletter and establishing annual registration tallies for all
reading clubs.
B. Library Clerk, Kelly Olson, prepared and presented a storytime in my absence on June
30. Kelly also placed and received several Baker and Taylor book orders, received
incoming magazines and BWI standing orders. She established the layout and type set
the June issue of the library newsletter.
C. Pages have been busy with Reading Club registration, circulation and returns. Pages are
also checking donated titles, book selection tools and order cards.
