HomeMy WebLinkAboutOperational Report from Mary TO: FROM: SUBJECT: DATE: M. Rebecca Loader Mary M. Kloss Operational Report, June 2003 June 30, 2003 I. PROGRAMS: A. Friends of the Library: The Friends met on Monday, June 2, at 1:00 p.m. in the library boardroom. They were very pleased with the amount of money made at their book sale, and the number of people who attended the presale. I prepared a financial sheet for distribution to compare the last three book sale figures. The presale started in 1999, and the number of people attending this year doubled since then. Most of the money was also made at the presale. Many books were sold and cleanup went smoothly. The Friends are considering raising their prices for next year's sale. They will not meet in July and August. Their next scheduled meeting will be Monday, September 8, at the library. Their next evening meeting will be Monday, October 6, at Keys Restaurant. B. Bulk Loans: I selected, processed, and delivered bulk loans to Parkview Villa, Heights Manor, and Royce Place on Wednesday, June 4. II. COLLECTION: A. Annual supply order: I redid the current list of office and library supplies on Excel. Numerous supplies were ordered: copier paper, paper products, miscellaneous office supplies, City letterhead stationery and envelopes, toner cartridges, and security tattle tapes. Purchase orders were prepared. B. 75th Anniversary celebration: I sent letters out to seven past Library Board members informing them of their selection as one of the "Patrons of the Month" for July. I prepared copy for their certificates and took a photo of those who answered my request to be photographed. An article featuring them will appear in the July Library Sampler. e.
