COLLECTION PROJECTS A. Hudson's Street Atlas. The Hudson's Street Atlas was ordered for the Library's collection. An order for the Atlas was taken from other city departments as well. B. Reference Labels. New reference labels are being created. II. MAINTENANCE PROJECTS A. Fire Extinguishers. Gauges were checked September 18,2002. B. Security Gates. Filters were cleaned September 18,2002. C. Maintenance: 1. Misc. A list of maintenance items was sent to Public Works. III. TRAINING Excel Training. Excel training continues. IV. MISCELLANEOUS: A. Paperback Order. An online order for Baker & Taylor was typed and sent. B. Magazines. Magazine labels were typed twice during the week. Magazines were also given barcodes and bugged. C. Ollie's Kitchen. Ollie's Kitchen was contacted for estimates pertaining to the December open house. D. Shelf-Reading Assignments. October shelf-reading was assigned and posted. E. Withdrawn Items. Items were withdrawn from the system and recycled. F. Month-End Memo. Attendance gate count, building use count, and Internet stats were entered into the shared directory. Information was then compiled, typed, and distributed to supervisors. G. III Drawer/Notebook. Both items were maintained. H. Minutes. Staff meeting notes were typed and distributed. I. Fixed Asset Notebook. The fixed asset folder was updated. J. Inventory. Items were compared to shelf-list cards for accuracy. K. Voice Mail. The voice mail was changed to alert patrons of the new winter schedule. L. Granger's Project. Item records were revised. M. Maintenance Binder. A maintenance binder is being created. The binder will hold information from past maintenance projects and will give instructions on how to carry out maintenance duties. A maintenance time-line will also be included.
