Friends:
A. The Friends did not meet in August. They will meet next for a dinner meeting
on Monday, September 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Keys Restaurant in Spring Lake Park.
Margaret Anderson will conduct this meeting because Nancy Rathbun will be on
vacation. I prepared a letter of invitation to the fall dinner meeting and sent it to all the
current members. I updated their membership list, which will be distributed to them in
September. The newspaper storage boxes purchased by the Friends have been received.
At home service
B. : I updated the book lists for homebound patrons who received books
while I was on medical leave and arranged delivery for three patrons.
Bulk loans
C. : Bulk loans were processed and delivered to Heights Manor and Parkview
Villa on Thursday, August 9.

Collection development
A. I completed the second order of the year for books on tape. No books on CD were
ordered this time. I also ordered the out-state Minnesota phone directories from Qwest
Dex and local suburban directories from GTE (Sun Directories) in Edina.

purchased during June and July.
Graphics:
C. I began working on my fall bulletin board and hope to complete and display it
before Labor Day.

quite a bit of additional time retraining one of our pages. I will be retesting him before
the end of the month.
Supply ordering:
E. Quite a few supplies were ordered during the month including light
bulbs, hand soap, and miscellaneous office supplies. I also met with Audery, sales
