SUBJECT: Operational Report, May 2001
DATE: May 31, 2001
I. Programs:
Friends:
A. The Friends of the Library met at the library for their monthly meeting on
Monday, May 7. They discussed their upcoming book sale and work assignments. They
also voted to purchase the newspaper storage boxes from the wish list regardless of the
shipping cost. The annual book sale was held on Thursday, May 31, from 9:00 a.m. –
8:00 p.m. in the children’s downstairs activity room. On Wednesday, May 30, the
Friends set up the sale, conducted a short business meeting, and held their presale.
Twenty-five tickets were sold the night of the presale, and the “shoppers” seemed very
pleased with their book purchases. The tally from the sale will not be available until
tomorrow, June 1, after Becky counts the money. The Friends next meeting will be
Monday, June 4, at 1:00 p.m. at the library.
