I. BUILDING MAINTENANCE
A. Becky conducted a walk-through inspection with Fidelity Cleaners 2/2. Several issues on
cleaning were discussed.
B. Orkin inspected the building 2/8 and found no problems.
II. COLLECTION
A. Two large book orders were placed.
B. An adult paperback order was placed.
C. Cd and video orders were also placed.
D. Marsha met with book representative Jack Kubbitz 2/21.
III. EQUIPMENT
A. Schindler Elevator has a new customer service representative for the Library account.
B. The City installed a new network server over the weekend of 2/17. The IS Department set
up the pc’s so that the Library could use them during open hours 2/17.
IV. PROGRAMS
A. The following people have volunteered time in February to straighten and shelf read: Helen
Bartlett, Sue Bembenek, Gloria Tarmann, and Phyllis Charboneau.
B. The Board met 2/6 with all members present.
C. Seven sessions of storytime were held with a total attendance of 115 children and 56 adults.
D. The Board met with the City Council 2/7 for a work session on the potential of a new
Library building.
E. Winter Reading Program continued.
F. Bulk loan was re-scheduled to 2/27 to accommodate Immaculate Conception School being
closed on 2/22.
V. AUTOMATED CIRCULATION SYSTEM
A. No changes.
VI. STAFF
A. Jeanine attended Municipals 2/1.
B. Michelle Smith has completed training as the new aide. She started working her regular
schedule 2/12.
C. Shari trained in new page Michael Brown. He begins his regular schedule 2/27.
D. Shari submitted her resignation as Library Clerk effective 3/9. Advertising to fill her
position has started.
E. Marsha attended a storytime kits meeting on 2/13.
F. Jeanine participated in a cable shoot 2/22.
G. Becky met with Kevin at Public Works on 2/22 about the Library stairwells.
H. Marsha attended a Libra Meeting 2/26.
VII. MISC
A. Debra Patrin, employed by the IRS, has been volunteering on Thursdays and Saturdays to
maintain the tax forms.
B. The City version of the Library annual report has been submitted.
