Re:Operational Report for July 2000
Projects:
th
1.Page Training - I completed page training with Danialle. She passed her test on July 12
and has been working hours scheduled just for her. She will be allowed to sub for the
th
other pages on August 7.
2.Ready Reference. I have started going through the folders in the drawer and removing
outdated materials. I have been working on replacing information that has been updated
or finding alternative sources for similar information. The ready reference cards are still in
the process of being updated. There are several phone numbers that need to be verified
and several agencies that are no longer in service and replacements need to be located.
3.Video Labels - I have been typing up new side labels for the video cases as the pages have
been mending them. The use of the computer allows me to make the labels bigger and
easier to read. I have also found several titles that should be cataloged as free and were
still rentals. Jeanine has taken care of these titles for me.
4.Paperback order. I placed and received the July paperback order. There are several titles
still waiting to be attached and I am not sure if it is because the county did not receive
theirs or if they are just behind. If they are not entered by the time we get the August
order, I will have Jeanine send them in.
5.Hudson Street Atlas for 2001. I contacted the division heads regarding the new Hudson
Street Atlas. I inquired as to how many each department would like. I placed an order
th
with Tom Anderson at Hudson’s on July 28. They should be in late next week or early
the following week. I will then make the journey to the different departments for the
appropriate signatures.
6.Fidelity walk-thru. I participated in a walk thru with the people from Fidelity and Linda
Magee. We discussed the cobwebs, the cloth towel dispensers, the extra toilet paper in
the bathrooms and the work sink in the kitchen downstairs. We have a new cleaner and
she is still learning but she has been here for a while and seems to be improving.
Misc.
1.System maintenance was completed for July.
2.Fire extinguisher maintenance was completed for July.
3.Magazine labels were typed twice a week and the magazines were given to Kelly.
4.Bills were prepared as needed.
th
5.MELSA survey sheets were put out for July 24 and then the copies were sent to Kathy P
at LSS.
6.Shelf reading was assigned for August.
7.Month end counts for June were calculated and information was given to the supervisors
as requested.
