I.Programs
:
A.The Friends of the Library did not meet this month. Their next meeting is scheduled for
FRIENDS
Monday, August 7, at 5:30 p.m. for a dinner meeting at the Keys Restaurant. Sandi Engquist
continues to be an outstanding volunteer delivering library materials to my “At Home” patrons.
:
B. I selected library items and arranged delivery for four “At Home Patrons” this month.
HOMEBOUND
:
C. I selected and processed bulk loans for Heights Manor and Parkview Villa and delivered
BULK LOANS
them on Wednesday, July 5.
IICollection development:
:
A. During the month, I prepared my second order from Baker & Taylor for books on
BOOKS ON TAPE
tape.
B.: Several brochures from state travel bureaus were received, labeled, and placed in the
VERTICAL FILE
vertical file.
IIProjects and Goals
:
A.Patrons have been bringing in their “sunflowers” from the July newsletter and the
BULLETIN BOARD
cutouts have been added to the bulletin board. “Aah summer....time to read” will continue through
August. The sunflower shape will be in the August newsletter also.

B. The booklist to accompany the M is for Minnesota book display was completed and
BOOK DISPLAY
displayed. This was a cooperative effort involving Elaine, Jeanine, and myself. During August, the
book display will be “Summer Reads...New and nearly new fiction.” I started pulling books for this
display which will go up approximately August 1.

C. The annual supply inventory was completed and all supplies ordered including
SUPPLY INVENTORY
targets, tagboard, office and general, and book covers. The inventory control sheets were updated and
given to Kelly to type. I also updated the supply locator sheet. Jeanine will type this sheet so I can
duplicate it and distribute to the staff.

D. Several of the labels for magazines displayed in the adult reading room were changed to
LABELS
accompany title changes and subscription cancellations.

E. A supply budget sheet was prepared before I did the annual supply order.
