Significant Accomplishments
A. The Friends met on 8/1 with eight members in attendance. ,
B. The Tuesday Special on 8/2 was Suzanne (magician) and had 132 children and
28 adults in attendance.
C. The Board met on 8/2 with four members in attendance.
D. The Tuesday Special on 8/9 was Kit and Kaboodle (music and humor) and drew
89 children and 38 adults.
E. Senior Citizen Filmtime on 8/10 drew 26 people.
F. The Tuesday Special on 8/16 was Mikael Rudolph (mime) and had 73 children and
18 adults in attendance.
G. Reading Club ended on 8/26 with a total registration of 798 children in all levels.
II. Departmental Goals
A. On 8/2 the Beautification Committee planted new shrubs in the front of the library.
B. Kelly has completed the magazine rotation and has all the serials entered up to
the ones that have been dumped into the database. This has been a huge project for her.
C. The camcorder circulated six times in August.
D. The pages met on 8/22 to negotiate Fall schedule.
E. The Booksale on August 25-26 was run by the Friends of the Library. They made about
the same amount of money as last year.
F. Jeanine participated in a cable shoot on 8/26.
Issues and Problems
A. The elevator project is progressing.
