Significant Accomplishments
A. Reading Club, '~ibrary Kids are World Class," has 612 participants
in three different reading levels.
B. Three ~aesday Specials have been held:
6/16 Tricia and the Toons 164 attendance
6/23 "Jungle Book" 121 attendance
6/30 Doodles the Clown 145 attendance
C. Two Preschool Funtimes have been held:
6/18 stories, craft activity 48 attendance
6/25 stories, craft activity 57 attendance
31 senior citizens attended filmtime on 6/10.
The Board met on 6/2 with all members present. John Hemak made
a presentation on the Lincoln Presidential Coach.
The Friends held their annual Booksale on 6/4-6/5.
II.
Departmental Goals
A. The adult reading room, lobby, and interior stairwell were re-carpeted
June 6-13. The hard work of many people and businesses made such a
huge project a success.
Becky and June Johnston conducted two sessions of "The Citizen as Customer"
to City employees on 6/9 and 6/11.
Becky attended an ADA workshop on 6/22. Sponsored by the State Library Agency,
the workshop was aimed specifically at libraries and compliance.
On 6/22 OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) was activated at the library.
The patrons are very enthusiastic about having access to the database.
