Rebecca Loader, Library Director~b~ SUBJECT: Operational Report #54 (Sept. 2-Sept. 14, 1991) DATE: September 13, 1991 Significant Accomplishments The Library Board met on September 3 with all members present. B. On 9/7 the library was open for Saturday fall hours, 10-4 p.m. C. On 9/9 the Friends met with nine members in attendance. D. Forty-five senior citizens attended filmtime on 9/11. E. Registration for fall storytime started September 3. Departmental Goals A. The purchase of a coin-operated public-use copier was approved by the City Council on 9/9. The new copier has been ordered with a tentative delivery date of 10/1. B. The library is very pleased to have Kathy Gartland working on an internship this autumn. Kathy is getting ready to graduate from St. Catherine's with a degree in information management and must complete a lO0-hour internship at a library as part of her graduation requirements. Kathy will be working two nights per week and will be splitting her time between reference and constructing a database containing the library's ready reference files. Issues 'and Problems A. On 9/4 vandals painted graffiti on the walls and door of the front exterior stairwell. Temporary measures have been taken and arrangements for re-painting have been made.
