Rebecca Loader, Library Director t~ SUBJECT: Operational report #47 (May 20-June 1, 1991) DATE: May 31, 1991 Significant Accomplishments A. On 5/20 the pages met to negotiate summer schedule. B. Jo and Mary Cooper travelled to the schools during the week of May 20 to talk about summer programs and to deliver brochures to the classrooms. C~ June 1 the library will switch to summer Saturday hours (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). Departmental Goals A. On 5/24 the library installed a new multiplexor with 16 ports. The old multiplexor was sold to Anoka County. B. On 6/1 Becky conducted a reference workshop for the library's part-time supervisors. C. The library has three graduating seniors this year: Christine Guzik and Sandra Paddock from Columbia Heights High School and Michael Lipski from Totino-Grace High School. Congratulations to all three of these graduates. Issues and Problems A. On 5/28 the severe thunderstorm knocked out the library's communications lines for the automated circulation system. The system was down for about three hours, but no damage was sustained.
