Significant Accomplishments
A. Eight sessions of storytime were held with a total attendance of
242 people.
B. The Friends met on 3/4 with seven people in attendance.
C. The Board met 3/5 with all members present.
D. 43 senior citizens attended the monthly program on 3/13.
E. On 3/6 the library received its first successful TDD call. Staff
was enthusiastic about being able to provide this service to the
hearing impaired.
F. As of 3/15/91 there are 152 adults registered in the "Passport to Reading" club.
Departmental Goals
A. Becky attended the quarterly systems meeting 3/15 for the public
libraries cooperating in an automated circulation system in the
county. Current operational procedures were reviewed for potential
revisions.
B. The library has been designated as a beneficiary in a LifeShare
life insurance policy by an anonymous donor.
Issues and Problems
A. The front door of the library was found open on the morning of 3/12.
Nothing was stolen or vandalized.
B. The circulation system was do%rn 3/12 because of the failure of a system
disk. The hardware failure caused the patron database to be corrupted,
and it was necessary tO rebuild that database. Fortunately, very little
data was lost.
