Significant Accomplishments
A. Two field trips for Recreation's Pre-School classes were held on July 16
and 17 with a total attendance of 32.
B. Three Tuesday Specials were held: July 17 ("An American Tale"--93
attendance), July 24 ("Land Before Time"--lO2 attendance), and July 31
("~.T."--67 attendance).
C. Two pre-school Funtimes were held: July 19 (63 attendance) and July
26 (64 attendance).
Departmental Goals
A. On July,24 Cable TV North Central delivered the last piece of equipment
for the new character generator. The signal from the library has improved
and is be±ng monitored by the Cable Commission.
B. The adult reading room lounge area has been re-arranged to effectively
use the new furniture purchased by the Friends of the Library and the
Boosters. T~ traffic patterns have been changed to create browsing/
reading areas that are smaller and have better sight-lines.
Issues and Problems
A. On July 18, a boy fell down the last four steps of the interior stairwell.
His nose was bruised. The proper forms were completed and submitted to Finance.
B. On July 25, a man attempted to steal a stack of phonodiscs. The materials
were recovered. He has been identified, and charges have been filed.
