Rebecca Operational Report #23 (May 21-June 1, 1990) June 4, 1990 Significant Accomplishments A. Jo and Mary Cooper visited the elementary schools with the packets advertising the library's summer children's programs. B. The library is now providing space for adult reading tutors from Metro North. This valuable program provides one-on-one reading instruction to adult students. Svea Smith brought 8 of her students (English as a second language) to the library on 5/25. Departmental Goals A. Mary Kloss attended the Bridge Marathon Supper on 5/23. This group donates proceeds to the Friends of the Library. B. Lisa Erpelding has been named valedictorian of the class of 1990 at Totino-Grace High School. Shari Briley and Sue Stewart will both be graduating with honors at Columbia Heights High School. Congratulations to these three graduating pages! C. Part-time library supervisor Tom Sagisser has accepted a position with Dgkota County Library. He will remain on the library's substitute list. Issues and Problems A. The roof leaked in the lobby 5/22 by the air conditioning unit.
