Rebecca Loader, Library Director ]~ Operational Report #19 (March 19-March 30, 1990) March 30, 1990 Significant Accomplishments A. Eight sessions of pre-school story hour were held with a total of 206 participants. B. The library's auction items have been inventoried and tagged. C. The Immaculate Conception School's eighth grade class came to the library for a special field trip 3/21. D. Read-to-Me Club ended 3/31 with a total registration of 199 children. E. 21 kindergarteners from Immaculate Conception School visited the library on 3/30. The library received a book cart on 3/30 as a gift from the Friends. The 1991 budget has been drafted for presentation to the Library Board on 4/3. II. Departmental Goals A. The staff was trained on the library's TDD device on 3/20. The Friends purchased the'device for the library with CDBG funds. A publicity brochure is being prepared. B.. The pages have participated in review classes taught by the full-time staff. C. Interviews are being conducted for part-time library supervisor positions which will be vacant. III. Issues and Problems A. On 3/29 a vandal managed to turn on one of the library's air conditioning units.
