Programs
A. The Friends of the Library met on Monday, July 7"~, at 1:00 p.m. with ten members present. They
discussed the book sale and were happy with the money they made and r~ow are reconsidering
having a two day sale instead of a one day next summer. Their next meeting will be the evening
of Monday, August 4t~, at 7:00 p.m. in the library's downstairs activity room.
B. I arranged delivery to three homebound patrons this month.
C. The first delivery of books to Heights Manor was done on W~dnesday, July 23. Fifteen large print
books were delivered for use by the residents there. Beginning in September, I will deliver to
Heights Manor and Parkview Villa on the same day. This is the first organizational card for Heights
Manor and their senior council is assuming responsibility for any lost or overdue items.
D. I delivered books to Parkview Villa on Thursday, July 10.
II.
Collection
A. During the week of July 21, I completed an order for books-on-tape. This order consisted of
current best sellers, popular titles, both fiction and non-fiction.
B. Additional travel brochures were added to the vertical file during the month.
III.
Projects
A. A new bulletin board was displayed this month with the theme "Reading is Cool".
B. The supply order for the year is 95% complete. The supplies ordered have been received and put
away.
C. I ordered Minneapolis, St. Paul, and out-state Minnesota phone books from US WEST Dex. I also
ordered suburban phone books from GTE Directories in Edina, MN. All the directories I ordered
were free. of charge.

Prepared copy for the August library newsletter.
Duplicated August library newsletter and sent copies to city and Anoka County Library staff.
Wrote articles for City Newsletter,
Created door signs for the 4"~ of July holiday,
