Rebecca Loader, Library Director / 1 '~>~ January operational report January 28, 1997 II. III. IV. BUILDING MAINTENANCE A. B. The east part of the roof and the main floor lobby roof leaked 1/23. On 1/24 Public Works removed snow from the roof, replaced missing street numbers from the back and front of the building and reattached a loose cable to the facia. Heights Electic installed a safety lock on the switch for the heat tape and a new mast for the electrical service coming into the building from the southeast. F. G. H. I. J. Becky attended the County public service meeting on 1/9. Jeanine participated in a cable shoot 1/13. Samantha Pace, Nicole Sobcinski, and Sarah Weber completed 6-months of employment. Kelly and Marsha were invited to attend a play on Martin Luther King Jr. presented at Immaculate Conception School 1/17. Jeanine attended an Information Management Meeting 1/22. Marsha completed three years of service as the Children's Librarian. Marsha attended a Values First presentation 1/23. Page review classes were conducted. Kelly and Jeanine attended the Municipals Winter Workshop 1/28. Interviews for the page position started. COLLECTION A. 1997 editions of Fodor's were purchased from Bookmen. B. Staff started a new book order procedure. EQUIPMENT A. The elevator malfunctioned and was repaired 1/2. B. Honeywell responded to an "odor" in the basement 1/2. Nothing was found. C. Honeywell responded 1/7 to repair the hot water heater. D. Honeywell responded 1/17 to check out noise in east side roof-top unit. E. The drum on the Mita copier was replaced 1/25. PROGRAMS A. The Friends met 1/6 with 8 members and 1 guest present. B. The Board met 1/7 with 5 members present. C. The Polish Language and Culture class met twice with a total attendance of 26 people.
