Significiant Accomplishments
A. The Friends met on 12/2 with five members present.
B. The Board met on 12/3 with four members present.
C. Four sessions of Holiday Stories and Crafts were held in December with a total
attendance of 56 children and 37 adults.
Departmental Goals
A. The staff has participated in the selection and evaluation of the RFP's
received for a document management program. Staff has attended the demos
of two vendors and participated in the discussions that took place before
the City Council presentation.
B. Five employees participated in performance evaluations in December.
C. On 12/5 Marsha attended a meeting at Anoka County for the children's
librarians who are considering a format change for storytime.
D. Becky attended a meeting with Honeywell representatives on 12/12. Potential
changes in the contract and procedures were discussed.
E. On 12/12 the library's fire extinguishers were serviced.
F. 72 books were collected for Project Bookshelf, thirty pounds of food were
donated to SACA, and four bags of toys were collected for Toys for Joy in
the various drives conducted at the library in December.
G. Marshat attended a "sharing" meeting for children's librarians on 12/12, where
favorite stories and programs were presented.
H. On 12/17 the fiberoptic cable was strung within the building.
I. Mary attended the Golden Age Holiday luncheon on 12/19.
Issues and Problems
A. Water leaked into the boiler room on 12/12. The problem has been solved.
