repair - AMI was contacted after the first repair because the
not function properly. The corona wire was replaced at a cost
of $165.00. The machine appears to be working properly at this time.
November book display - I chose the theme "Book an Adventure" for the
November Book display and put the books out on display.
Bulk loan - I delivered the bulk loan books to the high rises on November 3%
Friends scanning - I finished preparing the Friends of the Library meeting notes
for scanning into Laser fiche. There were 16 folders that were given to Jane for
scanning.
Hudson Street Atlas - I ordered and received 19 copies of the Hudson Street
Atlas 2000 for the various city departments. On November 3, I delivered the
requested number of copies to the departments and obtained the necessary
signatures for the payment voucher.
Fidelity Cleaners walk-thru - On November 18, I participated in a walk-thru tour
of the building with 2 representatives from Fidelity Cleaners and Linda Magee. I
pointed out areas of concern and also discussed the areas that we would like to
have cleaned as an added service (i.e. Carpets, bathroom floors, activity room
floor.) The information was taken down and they will contact us with a bid and
hopefully schedule a time for the cleaning to take place.
Misc.
A.
B.
Paperback order was placed and received for the month.
System maintenance - was completed along with fire extinguisher maintenance
and bathroom freshener maintenance. I have also added EXIT sign
maintenance to this list due to the fact that I found 4 of the EXIT signs with
burned out bulbs. I will try to watch for the burned out bulbs on a weekly basis
but will definitely check the signs when I do system maintenance.
Magazines - labels were typed on a weekly basis. We are starting to receive
some of the new titles.
ILL drawer/notebook - was updated and filed.
Shelf reading list - the list was assigned for December but most of the pages
have the same areas they had in November. The fact that we have been short
staffed, busy and have several holidays during the month didn't help anyone.
Voice mail - was changed for Veteran's Day and the Thanksgiving Holiday.
