Re: Operational Report
Projects
1. Page training - I completed the training and testing of two pages in June and
then began training the second group on July 12th. The second group consists
of three page trainees who were separated into two groups. Training for each
group consists of three hours per day and alternating morning and afternoon
shifts to make sure they have equal time for the various duties required of
morning and afternoon shifts. The second group of pages will continue training
through August 10th and then be tested on August 11
2. Large print - The large print collection was weeded and then shifted to make
better use of the higher shelves and avoid the shelves on the bottom. There
should also be more room now for the incoming order of large print books.
3. Graffiti - There was a large amount of graffiti reported in the men's restroom on
July 8th. It took three coats of paint to cover up the mess. I did notice however
that the new air sanitizer seems to be doing fairly decent job of keeping the odor
under control.
4. Heights Theater - I was able to complete the photocopying of relevant articles for
the time period up through December 1934. The new archival storage boxes
have arrived and hold the papers wonderfully. Now we just need somewhere to
put the storage boxes. I hope to begin 1935 in August.

Paperbacks - I placed and received two paperback orders in July.
System maintenance/fire extinguisher maintenance was completed on July 21st.
ILL notebook and drawer were updated and filed on July 8th.
Magazine labels were typed on a weekly basis with the assistance of Alicia and
Kelly during page training.
Voice mail was changed for the July 4th holiday.
Scanning - Four of the five notebooks were completed with the assistance of
Alicia doing the typing. There is one notebook left and should be completed in
by the middle of August.
