Re: Operational report for May
Projects:
1.
Subject adds - I have completed the subject adds. I used Amazon.com
and BIP to verify titles and availability. There were several areas were I
did not locate anything. I will hold on to these for future searches.
2. CPR training - I participated in CPR training on 2 days. I feel that this
was a very beneficial opportunity. I hope that I never have to do CPR but
I feel better knowing the basics of what to do and how to do CPR
properly.
3. Page training schedule - I have worked out a training schedule for the first
group of pages in June. I have ok'd the training with Marsha and Jeanine
so that they are available to do their portions of training.
4. Paperback order - I placed and received the paperback order from
Bookmen. We ordered 31 titles and only had 1 non-fill.
5. Paperbacks - I have weeded the adult paperbacks. There were quite a
few romance and mysteries that were in bad shape. I have also acquired
some donations of new romance paperbacks to fill in what I have weeded.
I expect them to circulate well this summer.
6. Large print rotation - I pulled the two packets and PL'd them to the proper
buildings.
7. ID cards - I contacted the police department about the ID cards. They just
told me I could use any design I wanted. I have come up with three
designs that we can play with and then vote on. Capt. Olson told me that
we can use the department's digital camera if we wish to take a picture of
the library or something like that.
8. WordPerfect 8 training - this was the intermediate class and it was much
more informative than the beginning class. I learned quite a few new
things that I probably wouldn't have figured out on my own. I look forward
to possibly taking another WordPerfect class in the future.
9. Office carpet - see attached page.
10. Page manual - I have begun proofing the page manual so that it will be up
to date for training.
Regular duties 1. System and fire extinguisher maintenance was completed.
2. ILL notebook was updated.
3. ILL drawer was gone through and items were filed.
4. Magazines were typed bi-weekly. It seems like we are getting more
magazines all the time.
5. Monthly reference and gate counts were tallied and reports were given to
the supervisors.
6. Bills were prepared as needed.
MELSA slips were copied and sent to Kathy at LSS.
I helped with several classes and preschool tours this month.
