The Children's Department ushered in the winter holikays with six sessions of crafts which
were attended by a total of 204 children. Thanks go to Rita Norberg for her Beary Merry
Christmas display in the Children's room during the month of December, and for all her hard
work in getting this exhibit ready.
Thanks go to the Friends of the Library for the Christmas cookies they baked for the
December Senior Citizen program and to Margaret Anderson, Commie Carlson, Kay Reiners,
Evelyn Reinholdson, Macile Reinholdson, and Aileen Sturdevant for helping to serve. A special
thanks to the friends, who funded the special program put on by the "Eight is Enough" chapter of
the Sweet Adelines through an Anoka County Community Development Block Grant.
In December Jeanine and Mary Hoglund attended a three-day workshop on Multimate, a
word-processing computer system, sponsored by the city. Mary Kloss conducted a library tour
for a group of students of English as a foreign language on December 10~. The pages have been
working on various and sundry year-end projects over their school break and have cleaned up a
lot of odds and ends left over from the database conversion.
Tax forms will be available at the library starting the week of January I 1, 1988.
