Significant accomplishments
A. Three sessions of Christmas crafts were held on December 19, 20, and 21
with a total of 57 participants.
Departmental goals
A. On 12/19 the old paint room was cleaned up.
Usable paint was given to
the Park Department, and all miscellaneous paint was disposed of according
to correct procedures.
B. On 12/19 the toys from the library's Toys for Joy depot were picked up
for distribution. The response was wonderful again this year with a
wide variety of toys and age groups represented.
C. Evening supervisor Thomas O'Connor competed for a position on the
Minneapolis Public Library Board of Trustees and was notified of his
selection. Thomas is a full-time employee of U.S. West and works
part-time for the library. Congratulations are extended to him for
this honor.
D. As the remodeling draws to a close, the pages worked very hard to move
~ the books to their new locations on the shelving. Labeling the new
locations will be their next project.
E. The library's follow-up survey on the Saturday hours project will be
completed on 12/30. Results will be tabulated during the first week
in January.
F. The ceiling in the adult reading room will be re-sealed and painted
the week-end of 12/30.
Issues and problems
A. None.
