BUILDING MAINTENANCE:
A lighting ballast has been replaced in the adult reading
room.
COLLECTION:
A new set of State Statutes has been ordered for the
reference section.
The uncataloged adult paperbacks have been weeded.
STAFF:
Mary Cooper and Jeanine Schmidt attended the February 6th
session of the spring Municipals workshop on job attitudes.
LaVonne Stein has been hired to replace Kathy Opegaard as
a substitute for the part-time library supervisors.
The pages have participated in a series of "refresher"
classes in library procedures taught by the adult staff.
ACS:
A response survey has been conducted during the month as
part of a possible change in a telecommunications
configuration in the County system.

Juvenile
The Friends of the Library have decorated the children's
room for Easter.
The Fridley branch will be closed from 2/27 to 4/14/89 for
major remodelling. Many of their regular patrons have been
in to borrow materials, and their outstanding requests have
been routed to Columbia Heights for pick-up.
The Friends have donated a teakettle, a poster frame, and
a silk ficus tree to the library.
The annual report for the library has been submitted to
the city.
