Thanks go to all the Friends of the Library for the cookies and bars
they baked for the December senior citizen program, Thanks also go to
Margaret Anderson, Delight Olsen, Evelyn Reinholdson, Macile Reinholdson,
Lorraine Reisewitz, and Aileen Sturdevant. Special recognition also
goes to the Madrigal Singers from Columbia Heights High School under the
direction of Mr. Ron Johnson and to Mrs, Michelle Fristrom's seventh
graders from Immaculate Conception School who presented the play "Christ:
The Light of the World." These two groups provided the "live" part of
the Christmas Program: Thanks to all of these young people for their
efforts.
The staff has been w~rking really full-time on the conversion project.
The first plastic cards have been mailed out, and we are continuing to
re-register all our patroms. We are about half-finished with barcoding
the hardcover books and have finished the uncatalogued paperbacks. The
new circulation desk will be delivered January 26, and hopefully we
will be on-line February 2. Anyone wishing to volunteer time for this
project should call Becky at 788-3924 to sign up. There is still plenty
of work to do! Meet Ruby Wand in person:
