The Children's Department is busy getting ready for a full fall
schedule of story hours, with a special section for 2-year-olds.
Immaculate Conception School has resumed its scheduled visits for
the new school year.
Thanks go to the Friends of the Library for providin~ ~,,gb~,,~ ho]es
for the September senfor citizen program. Thanks also go to Kay
Reiners, Evelyn Reinholdson, Madge Sandgren, and Lee Wilke for helping
tO s~rve.
The Friends Annual Chef Salad Bar Luncheon and Raffle was held on
September 12 and received a warm response from all who attended.
The food was delicious, the service gracious, and the raffle items
tempting. Great job~ ladies!
Becky participated in the North Central evaluation of media services
in School District 13 this month. Part of a six-person team of
visiting evaluators~ she got to interview staff, students, and admin-
istrators about the program and to help with the exit presentation/
evaluation. It was very interesting to see the District's program
and to talk to the people involved. Sl~e aisc go to be envious over
all the Ap?]e computers and a-v equipment in the District media
center.
