Immaculate Conception School started their scheduled visits to the
library the week of September 19. The elementary-age art classes
taught by the l~innesota i~{useum of Art at the library also started
in September.
Thanks go to Ruth ~liller, Diane Ocel, Stephanie Rose, and Aileen
Sturdevant for the Crazy Cakes they baked for the September senior
citizen program. Thanks also go to Lucille McPhail, Ruth Miller,
Evelyn Reinholdson9 and ~adge Sandgren for helping to serve.
The Friends hosted a salad luncheon on September 29 at Murzyn Hall
and served approximately 250 people. The craft raffle was delightful
and somehow~ the library staff made out like bandits again. Congratu-
lations, ladies~ on a job well done. We all enjoyed ourselves
immensely.
Gloria and Darlene attended a handicapped-awareness workshop on Sep-
tember 27 at the Roseville branch of Ramsey County Library. They
got to role-play different handicaps while trying to obtain various
library services. Becky attended a workshop on audio-visual equipment
including microcomputers and video players~ at the Ridgedale branch
of Hennepin County Library on September 27. Samples of state-of-
