Children's activities for February were varied. A "Read-to-Me" Club for pre-schoolers started this month, and so far ll5 children and their parents have registered. Two sessions of crafts for the K-3 age group were held, and fifty children made wound-twine planters (complete with two beans for planting), thumb- print pictures, coin purses, key chains, and other miscellaneous crafts. Tiny Tots story hour for 2½ to 3~year-olds, which has been extended to March 5, was split into two half-hour sessions because of high enrollment. Twenty-six children enjoyed a Little Rascals Film Festival on February 19. Thanks ~o to: Florence Bennek Ruth Hiller Martha Emerson Irene Trench for the choco-apple cupcakes they made for the February senior citizens pregram. Those in attendance viewed two movies: Islands of contrast, a travelogue, and The styles that made a splash, Sears-Roebuck's ~!ocumentary on the evolution of the female bathing suit. Miss Etta Goeman-Pott, local retired home economics teacher, told the qroup that she had had suits like those in the film and that they are now in the clothing collection of the Minnesota Historical Society.
